I’m peeking out from underneath my sheets again. For the last few days I have been feeling afraid. I am left wide awake wondering what it could possibly be up to. There on my floor goes that skittering shadow once again. I edge my way to the side of the bed and take a look towards the floor. I’m completely sure that I didn’t leave that goddamn shirt over there. I quickly jerk back to the center of the bed lifting my blanket up to my chin as if it could possibly protect me from whatever phantom beast may be headed my way. Just as I am about to fall asleep I notice out of the corner of my eye that restless shade moving again.

This track was included on Columbus natives Ghost Shirt’s release Daniel from November of last year. The four piece create an interesting upbeat brand of hook filled indie pop that can grab listeners from the word go. The album opener and title track being a tad more mellow and featuring the great guy/girl harmonized vocals of Branden Barnett and Samantha Kim leads into this energetic full of fun single. The entire Daniel release is made up of ten tracks that are quite varied in tempo and filled to the brim with catchy hooks, those solid vocals, and yes a little bit of rock n roll violin. Give them a listen here and then head over to the Bandcamp where you can pick up the album for a buck.
