“I will not rest until I have you holding a Coke, wearing your own shoe, playing a Sega game *featuring you*, while singing your own song in a new commercial, *starring you*, broadcast during the Superbowl, in a game that you are winning, and I will not *sleep* until that happens. I’ll give you fifteen minutes to call me back.”
Just received an email about the latest Fancy Restaurant Records mixtape from The Wine & Dine Mixtape Series which enlists able fingered Wreck Tech to mix tracks that span Tom Cruz’s career. After working with artists such as Murs, Fat Tony, and Bunny Wailer as well as his previous work with his own now defunct crew Supreeme you can expect quality beats. Each track was selected by Cruz and runs the gamut of his catalog including past, present, and future releases. The beat work throughout is all killer no filler with thick lush production work and slick drum programming with sounds that use electro, soul sampling old school, and dance hall riddims. Though he didn’t choose to allow his voice to speak for him often in the collection he is also an able voiced rapper and songwriter to go along with those ass shaking beats. You can get the tape via Bandcamp absolutely free in a variety of formats with continuous or track by track play and after a sample here I think you should head over straight away for more as the mix is diverse and lengthy.
